5. FALLING LEAVES — NEW —

Introduce the poem by showing the colored leaves (PDF). Repeat the colors and explain the meaning of the word „leaves“. Ask the students to follow you in reciting the poem with actions:

• Show all numbers with your fingers.
• Touch the ground when saying „on the ground“.
• Lift one finger when saying „and one“.
• Touch your head when saying „is falling on my head“.

Actions help kids appreciate and understand the poem better.
